Syritta's founder and CEO is Prof. Dave Cliff FBCS FRSA FIMA. For more than 30 years Dave has been involved in leading-edge research, applying tools and techniques developed in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning) (ML), and complex adaptive systems (CAS) theory, to create innovative solutions in electronic financial markets, and in digital creative media. Dave has served as a lead expert witness in major civil and criminal cases in the High Court of London, Southwark Crown Court, and in City of London employment tribunals, advising the judge as a testifying expert witness and also providing background expertise as a consulting expert witness to teams of lawyers at firms such as Allen & Overy and Kirkland & Ellis. In 2013 Dave co-wrote and solo-presented The Joy of Logic, a one-hour documentary broadcast by BBC TV and produced/directed by Cat Gale for Wingspan Productions, which was awarded the Best International Film prize at Europe’s leading Science Film Festival, Academia Film Olomouc.
